February is Black Heritage Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the rich histories, contributions and achievements of Black communities in Canada and around the world. This month invites us to honour Black excellence, resilience, leadership, and creativity, while reflecting on the ongoing journey toward equity, inclusion and belonging.
In our Catholic school communities, Black Heritage Month is an opportunity for learning, prayer and celebration. Through reflection and meaningful initiatives, we acknowledge the vital role Black Canadians have played and continue to play in shaping our society, culture and faith communities.
